Hello from the road. After two days, I have about fifteen minutes before hitting the road again and heading to the Alabama Book Festival in Montgomery. I’ll be reading and signing today — Saturday — at 2 p.m. and then heading west for dates in Plano, Austin, and Houston. On Tuesday, I’ll be in Phoenix to sign at the Poisoned Pen. And then it’s back to my hometown of Oxford for the big Thacker Mountain Radio show. This is going to be in the historic Lyric theater with actors portraying the parts of George and Kathryn Kelly. I’ve posted a few tour pics here — picking up the award for Best Book from the Alabama Library Association for WICKED CITY on Thursday and then onto Atlanta where I spoke at the Georgia Center for the Book — here I am telling the crowd the size of George Kelly’s weapon of choice.
** For those of you in Texas, don’t miss my signing at Bookpeople in Austin on Sunday night — I’m lucky to have Austin music legend Jesse Sublett kicking off my reading of INFAMOUS with some traditional murder ballads! How cool is that? This is a event not to be missed. Lone Stars to follow.
